LIFE MEMBERSHIP

Life Membership is awarded for outstanding service to the Legion. To qualify for a life membership, the member must have a minimum of 10 years service in the Legion as an Ordinary, Associate or Affiliate-voting member, and have made a significant contribution.

Life Membership is recommended by our Branch, however, the application must go through a rigorous approval process, with the final approval resting with the BC/Yukon Command Honours and Awards Committee.

Life Members wear a distinctive blazer crest, much like the one depicted to the right, as well as a lapel pin with the word "Life" below the Legion badge. If the Life Member wears a Past President, or Past Commander lapel badge, the letter "L" is superimposed over the maple leaf on the badge to denote the Past President or Commander is a Life Member.
